About Me

I am a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in college student counseling and psychotherapy, including administrative and clinical roles at Case Western Reserve University where I served as director of the University Counseling Services and its divisions of Collegiate Behavioral Health and Prevention and Recovery Services for almost 35 years.  Today, I remain an adjunct assistant professor in the department of Psychological and Communication Sciences at CWRU and also serve as a part-time outpatient psychologist for Glenbeigh Hospital (affiliated with Cleveland Clinic) for professionals in recovery from addiction.   

I am a member of the American Psychological Association, and in the recent past, a member of the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors and board member of the Association of Recovery Schools, promoting early initiatives in higher education in support of students in recovery from addiction.  

I remain involved in community mental health organizations in Cleveland, viz., PFLAG-Cleveland and in local and national social justice organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign.
